A Few New Items

We have a few new products.

We wanted to be sure that we had 650b wheels in stock when our Polyvalent frames arrive. So we asked Velocity to build us some nice 32h all-around wheelsets. They use Velocity Synergy silver 650b 32h rims with satin anodized finish. Velocity sealed bearing hubs with Velocity skewers. Rear hub is 130mm, 8-9-10 speed. Velocity 14 gauge stainless spokes with brass nipples. $266 per set.

VO Diagonal wheels should arrive in a couple of months.

The very pretty VO Zeppelin fenders are now available in a polished 700c version, in addition to the 650b size.

And we now have what may be the ultimate upgrade for the hyper-competitive randonneur, Honjo ultralight tubular fender struts. You can shave an amazing 30g off your bike with these, guaranteeing that you'll climb like an eagle. We actually ordered these in error, so there won't be more once they run out.

Can the Honjo fender braces also be used for beginners learning how to use chopsticks ?

Hi Chris,

If you want the "Polyvalant" to have a french name then it should be "Polyvalent". To be picky, Velo should be Vélo, but that may be asking much from US Keyboards.

Voilà !

Quite right Wrong. My spelling is questionable in any language.

"...guaranteeing that you'll climb like an eagle."

That gave me my laugh for the day. Thanks!

To be honest, the word "polyvalent" is most likely of Latin origins, not French. It's a fairly common word in chemistry circles, where Latin is king. I understand that French is one of the Romance languages and is therefore Latin-based...in any case, I'm probably splitting hairs.

Bravo with the new wheelsets. Are you going to carry a 650b version for single speed bikes? Perhaps with a flip-flop hub...

Thanks a lot for keeping me drooling over new stuff every few days.

After years of scepticism, you guys have pretty much got me convinced to convert my lugged steel 700c sport tourer to the lower, wider wheels, if only because it would allow me to put some of those Honjo fenders on it. Not much to it, as far as I can tell... just new caliper brakes and the wheels, basically.

Unfortunately, I'm always long on plans but short on money. Maybe one day.

How about a 700c version of those 650b wheels?

Do the Velocity wheels use the Synergy OC rim for the rear??? Thanks.

The photo shows non OC rims.
