BTW, we are overstocked on Italian thread BBs so they are on sale.
All Grand Cru bottom bracket have oversize sealed bearings and boron-steel hollow axles. Both cups are alloy. The quality is first rate. Axle bolts are included. 258gm average weight. JIS taper.

Dear V-O folks: Do the 118mm BB's have a right side offset, usually 4-5mm, similar to the old style Stronglight and TA BBs?
Your bottom brackets are a steal for the price--the quality IS first rate. My bike mechanic was very impressed with the quality of my VO bottom bracket. It rides just as smooth as the Phil Wood on my other bike. Are you guys planning on making any ISO tapered versions?
No plans to make an ISO version of our BB sets at this time.
Your LBS can order BB's from us through VO Imports.
All the Grand Cru BBs are symmetrical, but a BB spacer can be used if you need offset. We sell inexpensive spacers in three sizes.
We don't currently have plans to make ISO taper BBs, but we may eventually if the existing versions continue to sell well.
So... when are the 50.4 cranks going to be here?

The cranks will be here around the third week of August according to the factory, but that's just an estimate.

The French cups required new tooling. That's part of the cost.

Econ 101--Value is completely indepenent from manufacturing cost. I bout a French threaded bottom bracket from VO and it's value to me was much much greater than the price i paid. I don't care waht it cost to make, thank you VO for doing it!
Chris, I've got a velo-orange BB in my 83 Raleigh SuperCourse and I love it. It's a great product. The rumor that your customer shared with you is FUBAR. FUBAR I say!

I want to change my Truvativ's for a set of race face. Would i need to switch the bottom bracket to and is this size of 118mm is sufficient or should I change. Please suggest me. Thanks.
The local good mechanic can suggest cheap price and repairing techniques. But dealerships of any company make available the benefit of best technicians to rate my mechanic services, greater services, factory substitute part and also promote latest tools.
here's another vote for an ISO-taper version!!! i'm ready to buy 3 of them!!!
