We have a small album of photos on line of Sara's new black Randonneuse frame. Johnny took these first shots outside his Brooklyn shop. (Thanks Johnny.) It's hard to photograph a black frame, especially in bright sunlight, but I think you'll get the sense of it. We hope to have more photos when it's built up. Note the eyelets on the inside of the fork for the hub generator wires. The brakes will be highly polished Paul racers.

I cannot wait to see how your first mixte turns out, Chris. That's one frame that I look for whenever I visit your blog.

Chris, The decals look great against the black! Johnny has a nice touch with his dropout treatment,,, go Johnny,go! ():~)
What a beautiful frame, and I cannot wait to see how Sara builds it up!
I have to say, Chris, you have really started something with Velo Orange. With each product, frame, etc, your presence in the bicycle world grows.
And I think the time is ripe for such beautiful, practical bikes.
suh-weeeeeet. Can't wait to see it built up!
Peter beat me to the punch.
Johnny's dropouts are so carefully and wonderfully detailed and placed. A small thing, maybe, but really sets the bike up to be something special.
oh man, that's beautiful.
Proving once again a great frame will always look good regardless of the color.
Doggone it Chris, will you cut it out? If this keeps up, I'm gonna have to break down and order one of those frames...
Since nobody's pointed it out for this post: I really, really like the decal placement. I know it's styled on an old French way of doing it (Herse? Singer?), but I think it really distinguishes Velo-Orange from the rest of the crowd. Not that you really need to. But I like it.
Soooo, a Johnny frame on a Kogswell budget? Sigh.
I just tripped on a 27-photo set on flickr of this particular bike. Included are some photos of the frame prior to painting, and some after an initial build - including photos of Sara herself riding the bike.
