The Campeur Racks are finally here. I know, I know, they should have been here this past spring. We can't think of many VO products that required as much time, testing, and effort to make. In addition to half a dozen geometry changes, we completely redesigned the mounting system and hardware not once, but twice. I still wince at the cost of all the tooling we had had made that will never be used. And the engineers at the factory were probably even happier than I was when we finally signed-off on the last prototype.
In any case, The rear rack has a wrap-around lower rail. The lower
rail keeps weight low and allow easy pannier removal even with the top
platform loaded. It's designed to be mounted to canti-brake studs or rack bosses on
the seat stay.
The front rack has integrated low rider platforms and an integrated decaleur. The decaleur to makes handlebar bag installation and removable easy. A U-shaped plug is included for times when
you don't use the decaleur. The front rack is designed to be mounted to canti-brake studs and dropout eyelets.
Both front and rear fit most bikes with 26",
650b, 700c, and 27" wheels. Construction is all stainless steel tubing with our usual polished
finish.

Also in the container were some items that flew off the shelf quickly. We have restocked just in time for the holidays.

Wow, that's a great idea on the rear rack.
I have one bike I use a trunk bag on. I can use the trunk OR I can use a pannier, and that's kind of a pain. Sometimes it's really nice to be able just to drop a pannier on a rack without fiddling with the trunk bag.
Are there any plans to do a set of V-O hammered 650b fenders in 52mm to 58mm width, either undrilled or with holes for two eyelet bolts? This would be a perfect fender set for those looking to use the Grand Bois Hetre 650bx42mm tire.
Any advise on using the rear campeur rack with only a fender mounting, like the smaller constructeur rack?
What's the setback on the rear rack, compared to the straight-up VO Constructeur rack? I can't use a pannier on that rack due to heel clearance issues. How much further back will this rear Campeur rack allow me to mount a pannier?
That's a beautiful rack, almost makes me want to take apart a Topeak BeamRack so I could mount their cargo plate to the top. (Stripped and polished of course)
That's a great looking rack, but it won't work on my old Raleigh. It would certainly work great on my new 66cm Campeur, nudge, nudge, wink, wink, stomp stomp. I'm not gonna stop this.
How can you attach tail lights to the rear rack? I don't see any plates or holes for lights to screw into.
Darrell, We might make 55mm hammered fenders, but no timeline yet.
Andye, These racks are made for heavy loads so the should be attached to the frame.
Grego, The lower rails go pretty far back probably a couple of inches beyond the Constructeur Rack, see photo.

Looks to me that there is a threaded boss on the trailing edge of the top platform. Bolt an L-bracket into that, and hang your taillight off that. Easy peasy!
Great design for a rear rack. What are the dimensions of the "top shelf"?
