Dia Compe Inverse Levers, for 22.2mm Bars

Dia Compe has introduced a version of their inverse levers that fit most 22.2mm, MTB size, bars. This is a big deal because you can now use inverse levers on many standard-size city bars.

I'd asked the president of Dia Compe about making these last year, and he told me that other had also requested this new model. That's not surprising; I expect they will be very popular..

Installation of these levers is a little tricky because they are a tight fit in the bars. You'll actually deform the little metal tabs as you insert them, so some effort is required on bars made with thicker wall tubing.

Also, we have wheel stabilizers again. And we just got a shipment of wheels, so some of the models we've been out of will be available again.

now if only tektro would do the same with their inverse levers!

These are great! Why not in black, though? I'm having trouble picturing the MTB/hybrid that would suit a vintage brown vs. flat black.

These are nice, but what I really need are decent brake levers for road-sized tubing city bars so that I can use bar-end shift levers.

I'm with you dwainedribbly - bar end shifters that fit standard non-Albatross bars would be a rare and beautiful thing.

Anon 12:23 - I really do not see these levers (quite nice Chris, thanks for badgering Dia Compe) being snapped up for MTBs and Hybrids so much as for more classic City bikes such as VO's own Polyvalent and Mixte. Vintage brown is a great match for those bikes.

Sure these are nice, how many times has it been said they are like the famous/infamous 'safety/suicide' levers? Huh? And people take those off bikes, not me if I have 'em.
