Stem and Stuff

VO stems have just arrived and will be in stock shortly. This last production run took a few weeks longer than usual so we had ran out of most sizes. Now we have a full stock of sizes in the 6-degree stems. We also have all the 17-degree stems plus two new sizes, 70mm and 120mm.

We also have a few other things we were out of including:

We'll be getting a shipment of Honjo fenders and other Japanese parts in a week or so. This will include the elusive spare fender hardware.

I just got one of the stems a couple of weeks ago and it truly is a great looking design. I wish it were available in 25.4, though.

We are going to have 6-degree 25.4mm stem, probably by late summer or early fall.

Put a 17o stem on one bike, liked it so much I want another for a different bike. Too late, out of stock. Glad they are back... and so is my bike!

I just got one of these in my shipment last week. What a stunning piece. It's unbelievably light, too.

Cheers,
Karl

You are one of very very few bike component makers produce silver finished stems on the market now. I don't understand why they like so much about the ugly looking black finished stems and seatposts. Thanks for that Chris, good job.

Stocking these for 1" steerers is going to be fantastic! I'll buy a few I'm sure.

They will be for a 25.4mm bar. We have a $5 shim that allows them to be used on a 1" fork.

ok, I got one great stem but will it be okay for xcountry mountain biking ?
That is what i got it for because of the high head tube on 29er the 120mm 17degree drop stem is about the steepest i could find. The 29er absorbs shock really well so the stem takes minimal shock. But still....a pretty light built stem.

VO does not sell parts for mountain bikes; that's simply not our market. So we don't really know how they will hold up in that use.
