Velo Orange is not about racing, but GO FLOYD!!!!! I've been watching, or following the TdF since I was about 18, and I can't remember a more amazing stage than today's. If you haven't watched it yet, do so tonight. It's worth it.

At the begining of this Tour I wasn't hoping for much. None of the top 5 finishers from last year were racing and the whole thing seemed like a return to 1998. Winning against a weakened field is never good.
All that said, it's great that Lance is gone and the Tour has returned to being an unpredictable event. This race is as exciting as some of the great Tours from the 1980's. I'd say it's more exciting than Lance's return in 1999 and possibly even as exciting as the Fignon/Lemond duel of 1989 or Hinault/Lemond duel of 1986 (the best modern Tour in my book!) Even the French have managed to get two riders into the top 10.
If he would have been clean that would have been the best ride ever,
but all the american biker don't have to go through the very hard tests while training.
From this day on I can't trust any top american biker anymore, there were too many incidents, unfortunately.
