Coming this fall, a retro black version of our drillium crank. It's like the 1980's are back. But we'll make the logo the Grand Cru crest on the production version. Waddya think?
Also, later today we'll have a small quantity of the new style long setback seat posts in black.
Looks nice. Any plans on drillum triples?
ReplyDeleteI like black components more than most but I don't like it. Looks like someone attacked the crank with a bedazzler.
ReplyDeleteBlack components are not my thing. Silvery!
ReplyDeleteLove it.
ReplyDeleteWhat??? No holes in the crankarms?
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I think this looks pretty awesome.
Very nice! Definitely want one but might also be interested in a triple.
ReplyDeleteHave you noticed that nobody is making an external BB triple crank with a 110mm PCD spider?
ReplyDeleteI like the cranks without the crest.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see them all black. Is it possible to do all the machining and then anodize?
ReplyDeleteHideous! Drilled out components, in keeping with their original manufacture, should only be silver.
ReplyDeleteJoe, There were many black drillium components back in the day.
ReplyDeleteAlthough there were black drillium components, my preference is still for silver.
ReplyDeleteI think you might want to offer it with silver chainring bolts, to get that really classic look. I owned a high-end (but not Mighty) Sugino Maxy crankset with silver arms, black rings, and silver chainring bolts, and it was very, very rad (stock equipment on the SEKAI 2500 grand tour bicycle of 1977).
