A few random bits:
- It's July 1st so: Happy Canada Day!
- VO will be closed this Thursday and Friday, the 4th and 5th of July. Happy Independence Day!
- We have one "scratch-and-dent" Campeur frame available at $100 off the regular price.
- In a fit of silliness we decided to order some of our favorite camping hatchets. They are actually very nice.
- Another container containing, among other things, a large quantity of Campeur frames is due to arrive any day now.
This may be a silly question, but how do subtle imperfections like this bulge get noticed? What is QC like at VO?
ReplyDeleteYou are not going Grant Petersen on us are you. You don't have an urge to start selling soap too do you?
ReplyDelete;)
Every frame is checked at the factory, including alignment, facing, etc, prior to boxing. After arriving at Velo Orange each frame is removed from the box and inspected before we ship it to the customer. It's pretty good QC system, not perfect, but better than many.
ReplyDeleteSoap is coming, French constructeur soap ;<)
ReplyDeleteCheers from Canada ....Eh!
ReplyDeleteAny relationship between the "scratch and dent" Campeur availability and the new Hatchets? Dual product testing between the two is probably best avoided... but I guess you now know that.
ReplyDeleteAs for QC, I would say the fact that this frame is being offered speaks loudly for your inspection system...
ReplyDeleteFrom my experience of having built up a Campeur, the QC is outstanding - including exceptional alignment to rival Custom Framesets.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Opinel knives, s'il vous plait. Cheap, lightweight, and they cut stuff. Made in France, since a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteWe we're just looking into sourcing Opinel knives this morning. I've been using them for decades.
ReplyDeleteVO stamped Marseille soap..
ReplyDeletetres agreable...
Indeed, Savon de Marseille, especially the original type made from olive oil, is the very best soap in the world. Amazingly this simple peasant soap is preferable to any fancy cosmetic bar. I buy the 1kg bricks in bulk, a 2 or 3 year supply.
