We are introducing a mini build kit for the Polyvalent. It includes:
- A Polyvalent frame set
- VO Diagonale/Shimano 105 Front Wheel
- VO Diagonale/ Shimano 105 Rear Wheel
- Grand Cru sealed bearing headset
- Grand Cru seat post
- Roberto Components Canti Brakes in black
And any other parts ordered at the same time are 10% off.
sounds like a fabulous deal to me. is this a limited time offering? or do you plan to keep this offer going?
ReplyDeleteThis is currently an experiment. We've put together a limited number of these kits, but if it goes well we may make it a permanent offering.
ReplyDeleteGreat deal. how about a fixed kit?
ReplyDeleteThis is a great deal! will some of your dealers offer this deal?
ReplyDeletewow, very tempting! Shipping to Canada, or Continental U.S. only?
ReplyDeleteAllan Pollock
The bundle kit is missing just two obvious pieces: the cable stops for the brakes!
ReplyDeleteIt's like an improved version of the old Kogswell P/R bundle deals, except that you have a choice of (much better quality) fenders.
WOW!!!!! That's a heck of a deal.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good idea and a great deal. If I could find anyway to justify another bike, I'd jump on this.
ReplyDeletewow!
ReplyDeleteI already have a set of wheels- how would this frame handle with a 700c conversion? Paul makes some V brakes with long posts to work on such conversions, and i have a pair so thought it might work.
Do the brakes come in a color other than black? Silver would look much better.
Interesting....will it be shipped in one package? Is shipping going to be under $80 within the lower 48 states?
ReplyDeleteSounds like an incredible deal....while I was going to hold out for another lugged VO bike, I might just take advantage of this deal.
Chris, any chance in getting this kit with a single speed wheel in the back???
ReplyDeleteI have bought a few items from Velo Orange, including the Grand Cru headset and seatpost...they are really good quality, I wouldn't exchange them for anything else. How do you guys give such good deals? I would seriously think about buying this kit even though I don't need another bike, except the largest size is too small for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested - but I was wondering if you would throw in a kickstand ?
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea! Many (of my...) new bike builds start with a handlebar or set of cranks looking for a bike!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome deal. I'm guessing a lot of Poly frame buyers get wheels too. Which makes sense, since I'm pretty sure VO has the best deal going on 650b wheels.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking at buying a rigid steel mountain bike soon. But if the Poly fits a Pacenti Quasi-Moto... Poor man's Bombadil? Hmmm. Tempting to try with this build kit deal going.
This is tempting. Would it be possible to substitute the dynamo front wheel in one of these kits?
ReplyDeleteNice deal. What can you tell me about the tubing butts/wall thickness?
ReplyDeleteSounds awesome--except, instead of the wheels, could you substitute them for a flip flop 650B, radially laced, and for the BB, could you upgrade that to a phil, and the headset, could you make that something else for some reason, and could we swap out the frame for a semi-custom? Oh, and could you throw in a set of bars, saddle, derailleurs, peddles, and jersey? I know you stated clearly that this 'The kit is currently available only with the exact components listed above,' but for me, could you make an exeption?
ReplyDeletemburdge, who knows that only on craigslist are pedals peddles.
mburge, you forgot to ask for silver breaks, too!
ReplyDeleteThis may well be the key to my getting a Poly this year instead of next! I hope the kit remains available long enough for me to arrange the coinage (and after that too). As is frequently requested, please give us notice if it's going away. Yay kits!
ReplyDeleteIs this deal still running? Sounds great!
ReplyDeleteWhat size BB works with Polyvalent 650B frame and Grand Cru Crankset? Would a 117mm cause rubbing to the chainstay?
ReplyDeleteUse a 122mm BB.
