Our first orange frame is going to Derek. He requested Johnny's signature Italian style concave style seat caps. Unlike most of our frames, this one is intended as a very fast all-arounder and lacks some of our usual braze-ons. The color is a bit more like a burnt orange than what shows on my monitor. More photos here. Check out those rear dropouts; shweeeet!
Sarah's black frame is next.
The white lettering really looks good against the orange. I would really like to see this built up.
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Derek!
Gorgeous seat lug cluster. I'm a bit surprised the painter didn't mask the drop out faces.
ReplyDeleteGotta say, orange coloured bikes always look good. Too bad Riv- forgot that with their production frames, and Surl_ is orange colourblind. Keep the orange alive!
ReplyDeleterivendell makes the quickbeam in a burnt orange.
ReplyDeleteI came of age, bicycle wise, during reign of Eddy Merckx. I like Molteni orange with blue trim.
ReplyDeleteThat looks horrible against red brick wall. Photograph it against a different background and it'll look stunning.
ReplyDeleteToo bad this wasn't around when I bought my Riv R. I'd have got this one instead.
ReplyDeleteBrian -
ReplyDeleteI sold my orange Riv R. to get this - go for it! ;)
I'll forward pix to Chris when I receive the frame and build it up - hopefully he can post them.
