Miscellaneous

A few notes:

A lot of you you have been waiting for the Sabot pedals. They should arrive next week.

The Grand Cru Drillium Cranks will also arrive next week. Both the inner and outer chain rings are drilled on the production version.

Our late October container has been delayed until early December. This is due to a couple of factories being so busy that they couldn't complete production in time. Most other items that are out of stock will arrive then.

Pass Hunter prototypes are being built. This is basically the Rando frame without lugs, but with canti brakes. We're testing it with slightly lighter tubing than we would normally use. The big question is whether it should be blood red (since red bikes are known to be faster) or medium blue of about the same shade as this Motobecane? (BTW, that was my frame that I sold to Kyle, then bought back because Kyle did such a terrific build.)

For the Pass Hunter, how about a nice metallic burnt orange?

blood red Passhunter sounds awesome.

Hi, I know this is off topic, but do you have any news on the camper racks? I am very interested in them and have some money budgeted for racks. I would love to know if they will be ready by the spring? Thanks!

LOVE the Motobecane metallic blue, on of my all-time favorite bike colors!

The Campeur racks are in the December container.

Sweet, thank you!

I vote for burnt orange too, but would drool over sea foam blue.

Any chance the rings will be available separately? I already have this crank.

If anyone reading this would like this crank without the drillium rings, I have a set of brand new 7075 rings I will trade you plus $ if you'd like to swap.

Red.

I couldn't possibly climb a mountain on blue bike.

Red vs. that gorgeous blue: Either color sounds beautiful as long as a tall size is available. 63 or 65? Please? :)

Pinkshirt: +1!

Clearly the correct color is neither blood red nor burnt orange, but blood orange.

that blue is gorgeous! love it! red bike is very loud for a rando/tourer. i get uncomfortable leaving my red miyata out on tour as it catches many eyes which makes my components much more visible... and losing a seat or brakes on tour is not a fun sounding idea...

It's time for un velo orange, like the Ebisu.

Blood orange sounds nice.

Is the Pass Hunter going to use 650b or 700c wheels?

You should offer a 110bcd single for city bikes as well as an attractive chain ring guard.

I'm glad to see you exploring lighter weight tubing on the Pass Hunter. Will this be standard diameter as well? I wouldn't mind something even a bit lighter than my Rawland Sogn (which 9/6/9 with normal (not OS) tubing), and 700c wheels, with a threaded stem, and a big enough size... yes please!

+1 for blue

Blood orange or red sound great!

I'm drooling the Pass Hunter frame (though I'd REALLY like a Rando frame with braze ons for long reach center pulls even more than cantis please?) but I'd be less likely to buy it in red. Any color but red.

Blue for the Pass Hunter please!!
Burnt orange O.K., but no red!!

Red is faster by miles.

I'm going out on a limb and saying "red." I love my blue Rando, but I don't like the MBK shade of blue very much.

Interesting sidepoint: the red would show off black components to their best advantage...

BTW, got an interesting comment on a ride last week--"That's a great old frame...unless...it's a great new frame."

1 vote for Motobecane blue. Would also love to see the Polyvalent in this color too!

Any plans for a 650B Campeur???

blood red for sure. orange and blue are overdone. plus, that's a really great looking crank.

I've been lurking, waiting for the Passhunter! Can't wait.

+1 blue

Red is for show bikes.
I like utility bikes, something that can roll "under the radar".

Got a birthday coming up, would love to know a rough price range for the campeur racks so I could decide if it would be appropriate to ask for or not.

Second the call for large sizes (62-63cm)

Any chance of seeing a photo of the prototype, just to drool?

RED WUNZ GO FASTA!!

Another vote for blood red. Because that's the classy red. And it will go faster.

That blue is amazing. Definitely blue.
