Another Polyvalent 650b Build

Here are a few photos of another new Polyvalent 650b build. This one is set up as an all-around road bike. This is the sort of bike I'd have if I could own only one bike. It's fast enough for club rides and can carry enough to make it useful for shopping, commuting, or even weekend tours. With our upcoming camping racks a similar build would make a nice long-distance tourer.

I just drooled on my keyboard again...thanks!

That is exactly the one-bike stable I'm going to build...just as soon as I have a job again. Darn school keeps getting in the way of my bike dreams.

Thanks for keeping the dream alive -

Awesome new look for the Polyvalent. Any chance we'll see the Rando get a similar facelift anytime soon?

This is a beautiful looking bike. The lines are sweet and that fork is lovely and graceful. The color is so much more appealing than the semi-matte black from before.

In the build you use the constructeur rear rack--would this need bracing (I'm thinking front to back) as it's only being held front to back by how tight the to base screws are tightened and the thin aluminum of the fenders--I set one of these up on a mixte and needed to brace it with that metal strap you sell, curving it to match the bend of the fender, from the front screw hole of the rack to the brake bridge. It really helped lock the rack in place.

I look forward to seeing it all in person at interbike!

The good thing about the semi-matte black finish on the original Polyvalent is that it hides the piece of electrical tape that I put on the side of the top tube to prevent bike rack scratches. The good thing about the new color is that it's beautiful.

I wonder if they make electrical tape in that color?

This is what I'd build. An all-road day tripper. I would fantasize about logging roads all day long...
